Sierra Nevada 40th Anniversary Hoppy Ale: Chico, California
Hop-forward beers weren’t popular when we started brewing in 1980. But we loved them, and we knew that if we were going to open a brewery, we’d better make something distinctive. It’s been 40 years since then, and we’re still brewing what we love. This beer showcases the bold flavors and aromas of a classic West Coast IPA: intense pine and citrus with a deep gold color and slight caramel sweetness. Here’s to following your passion, and to the next 40 years.

STONE Viking Space Probe: Escondido, California
In the spirit of all the exploratory missions deployed across the galaxy — be they spacecraft, Viking or other — we’re constantly probing the world of beer back here on Earth. That quest has brought us to this latest creation, which comes from our brewing team at Stone Brewing – Napa. With a subtle haze reminiscent of some far-off nebula, and further complimented with the juicy flavors of Ella and Citra hops, this beer is most definitely out of this world. Crafted to be enjoyed on Earth, but if intelligent life does exist out there, we’re pretty sure they’ll like it too.
One of the early beers brewed by Steve Gonzalez, Senior Manager of Small Batch Brewing & Innovation for Stone Brewing – Napa. It was received very well in Napa and continues to be a favorite. We knew at some point we would target it for a special national release and in 2020 we found a good spot for it to kick off the year. It’s not your typical hazy DIPA by any means. The use of Ella and Citra hops together, combined with Belgian Candi Sugar for added sweetness, definitely make this beer unique.

True North Bright and Early: Ipswich, Massachusetts
Brewed with a straightforward malt bill of American and English malts that provides a solid base for the yeast character and hops to be front and center. Fermented with a unique ale yeast strain to emphasize fruity flavors and aromas. Citra, Simcoe, and Amarillo hops provide aromas of candied lemon and mango that complement yeast esters of pineapple and ripe banana. Deep orange haze in color, it is reminiscent of a tropical fruit smoothie, but no fruit was added to this beer! Flavors of ripe melon, peach rings, and fresh-squeezed orange juice are present. A soft, pillowy mouthfeel provides a fullness to the complex flavor profile, but the beer finishes clean and dry with a slight hop bitterness.
